Who operates Rece1pt

Information stored on your device

The app keeps receipt photos you capture or select, recognized text, and the purchase details you enter or correct. These can include merchant, purchase date, total and currency; category and purpose; payment method, project and reimbursement information; tax notes and VAT fields; return and warranty dates; and private notes.

App preferences, your optional accountant email, the free-save counter and subscription access state are also handled on device. Rece1pt does not upload your receipt images or records to a Rece1pt server and does not provide app-managed cloud synchronization.

Camera, photos and text recognition

Camera access is used when you choose to scan. When importing, the app receives the photo you select with Apple's photo picker. Apple Vision reads receipt text on your device. Recognition can be inaccurate; review the extracted details before saving.

Optional scan area

Save scan area is off by default. If you enable it, the app requests location access while in use during a camera scan. Apple's MapKit geocoding service receives coordinates to look up a nearby place. The app saves a place name and country code with the receipt, rather than a history of your movements.

You can disable Save scan area in the app or change location permission in iOS Settings. Disabling the setting stops future lookups; it does not automatically remove place information already saved on receipts. Apple handles its services under Apple's privacy policy.

Reminders

If you allow notifications, the app schedules local reminders for return and warranty dates. Notification permission can be changed in iOS Settings. Depending on your system settings, receipt-related reminder text may be visible on your lock screen.

Exports and email

CSV exports and Proof Pack ZIP files are generated on your device. A Proof Pack contains a CSV, PDF summary and available receipt images. Exports can contain receipt details and saved place information. They leave the vault when you choose a sharing destination or send an email.

You choose the recipients and services that receive these copies. Their storage and privacy practices apply after sharing. Deleting a receipt in Rece1pt does not delete previously exported files or copies held by recipients.

Purchases

Apple processes Pro subscriptions through StoreKit. The app uses Apple-provided transaction and entitlement information to determine access to paid features. Rece1pt does not receive your payment card details. Manage subscriptions through your Apple Account.

Retention, deletion and backup

Your receipt records remain in the local vault until you delete them or remove the app's data. Delete a receipt from its detail screen to remove it from the active vault and cancel its pending reminders. App preferences and the free-save allowance are separate from receipt records; deleting receipts does not restore free saves.

Removing the app removes its local vault from that device. Copies may remain in device backups or exports you created; manage those separately with the relevant service. Rece1pt does not provide its own backup or restore service. Losing a device or deleting the app can mean losing your receipts. Device backups are controlled by your Apple settings; exports are portable copies and cannot currently be imported as a full vault backup.

Exports are also written to the app's temporary storage during sharing. iOS manages temporary storage; these files are not a permanent backup.

Analytics and tracking

This version does not include advertising, third-party tracking or a custom analytics SDK. Apple may process App Store, purchase or diagnostic information under its own policies and your device/account settings.

When you contact support

If you email support, the publisher receives the address, message and attachments you choose to send. Avoid sending full receipts or other sensitive details unless needed. We use support messages to respond to your request and handle follow-up. We retain correspondence for those purposes and any applicable legal obligations; you can ask us to delete it when it is no longer needed. Contact the privacy address above to ask about correspondence or request deletion, subject to any applicable retention obligations. The publisher cannot retrieve a local vault from your device.

Changes to this policy

The date above identifies the current policy. If a future version adds accounts, cloud storage, analytics or new data processing, this policy and the app's disclosures will be updated to describe the change.
