rece1pt — Terms & Conditions.
These are the app-specific terms. They sit on top of the studio's general terms and privacy policy.
// contents
App purpose.
rece1pt is a personal-organization tool for storing receipts, return windows, warranty dates, and accounting metadata on your own iPhone.
It is not a tax-preparation tool, not an accounting platform, not legal proof of purchase, and not a substitute for original receipts where law requires the original.
Subscription terms.
rece1pt has a free tier (up to 50 receipts) and a Pro tier (unlimited storage and Pro features). Pro is billed via Apple In-App Purchase: €3.99/month or €29/year.
- Billing — handled entirely by Apple. We never see your card details.
- Renewal — subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, per Apple's standard policy.
- Cancellation — manage or cancel from Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone. We can't cancel a subscription on your behalf — Apple controls that.
- Refunds — also handled by Apple. We'll happily vouch for refund requests on a case-by-case basis if Apple asks.
Data & backups.
rece1pt is local-first. Your receipts, OCR data, and metadata live on your iPhone. If you opt into iCloud sync (Pro), Apple's end-to-end encryption applies — the studio never sees your data.
This means:
- Backups are your responsibility. Use iCloud sync (Pro) or an iCloud device backup. The studio has nothing to restore from.
- Deleting the app deletes your data. If iCloud sync is on, it stays in iCloud until you remove it there too.
- We can't recover lost data. If your phone is wiped without a backup, the receipts are gone — we have no copy.
No professional advice.
rece1pt does not provide tax advice, legal advice, accounting certification, or any form of professional validation. Categories, tags, and "reimbursable" flags are organisational aids, not legal classifications.
If you need to claim something on a tax return, get reimbursed by an employer, or prove a purchase in a dispute — verify with a qualified professional or your original receipt. rece1pt is a memory aid, not an authority.
Export disclaimer.
rece1pt can export your receipt data as CSV or PDF. These exports are derived from your own input and the OCR pass on your device.
OCR makes mistakes. Especially on faded thermal-paper receipts, handwritten notes, and screenshots of email confirmations.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of any exported data you submit to an accountant, employer, or tax authority.
- The studio is not liable for misclassifications, OCR errors, or downstream consequences of using the exports.
Governing law.
These terms are governed by French law. The Apple End User License Agreement applies to your App Store purchase and overrides anything in this document that would conflict with it.
Disputes that can't be resolved by emailing each other will be heard by the competent courts of Paris, France.
